The Transforming Autism Project are on the verge of launching our first direct family services and are looking for a Chair of the Trustee Board to oversee their delivery.
You will need to be committed to and passionate about our charity, its values and goals, and the services we are delivering, as your role will be a central element of its success.
We're looking for an amazing Chair of our Trustee board, to oversee our strategy, and provide leadership to other Trustees, as well as support for our CEO. As we are at a very early stage in our life as a charity, our Board needs to be an operational rather than a purely governing one for this initial period, which, together with the CEO, will be the engine driving the establishment of the charity – being seen internally and externally as active charity leaders, pushing things forward, opening doors and being actively and enthusiastically involved in the development and execution of initiatives. This makes the opportunity an exciting and potentially very rewarding one for Trustees who like the sound of this, as they will be truly at the heart of turning our important mission into a reality, building a culture with our values at the center, and establishing ourselves as a credible force offering real value to society.Communication will be one of your key strengths, and you’ll be able to keep stakeholders appropriately updated in a way that’s simple and easy for them to assimilate, as well as being ready to go into the details if required.
The successful candidate will be strongly aligned with the values and the approach of the charity, and passionate about the changes we are trying to make in the lives of autistic children. They will ideally also take part in some of our team activities with our community of volunteers on a voluntary basis.
