Plant Records Volunteer

Unpaid

RHS Garden Wisley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6QB

The RHS Horticultural Database contains over 50,000 records of plants that have been grown at Wisley including over 25,000 different varieties grown today.  Our volunteers help the Plant Records Team by carrying out checks on the plants growing in the garden.

Applicants should have a passion for horticulture, enjoy working with people and have good computer skills.

This volunteering opportunity is available on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.  We ask our Plant Records volunteers to commit to one day a week (or on a fortnightly basis if the position is shared) from 10.00am to 4pm with an hour for lunch. We do, of course, understand that life will sometimes get in the way, but it is important that applicants think about how much time they can realistically spend with us before filling in an application.

We are committed to being an inclusive recruiter and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expect all volunteers to share this commitment.

To apply please visit our website via the link.

Informal discussions with short-listed applicants will take place after the closing date.

Closing date 9pm on October 31st.
