RHS Garden Bridgewater, Worsley New Hall, Off Leigh Road, Worsley, M28 2LJ

Our new fifth RHS Garden, RHS Garden Bridgewater, opened in May, and we've been welcoming visitors every day to come and enjoy the garden. This spectacular 154-acre garden, on the historic grounds of Worsley New Hall in Salford, is a beautiful green place for the local community and visitors to enjoy all year round. We believe everyone in every village, town and city should benefit from growing plants to enhance lives, build stronger, healthier, happier communities and create better places to live.

Now that the garden is open, we’re looking for additional volunteers to help.

To help support local community groups growing produce on their plots at Bridgewater. The groups are drawn from diverse sections of society, including the homeless, ex-prisoners, and children with learning difficulties. Sessions are led by the Community Grow Lead Gardener with assistance from a small team of volunteers on hand to offer guidance and support to the groups. We’re looking for people who can usually commit to one regular day per week, either a Wednesday or Friday.

To apply please visit our website via the link and apply online.

The closing date for all applications is 5pm, Sunday 24 October 2021. There will be an informal interview for shortlisted applicants in early November.

Please note: that we prioritise those who live closest to the site, as one of the aims of the development of the garden is to provide opportunities for local people.
