Treasurer for Board of Trustees
International Food Information Service (IFIS) is a charity dedicated to improving access to trustworthy information about the sciences of food and health. Our primary audiences are researchers in academia and product developers in companies. We provide educational materials and training, as well as publish a database curated by a team of subject experts (www.ifis.org).
We wish to recruit a Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees who has a background in company finance and pensions to our Board. The role involves ensuring the charity is  managing its resources responsibly;  complying with its governing document and the law; and  its management is properly accountable.
No previous experience of serving on a not-for-profit Board is required as we will provide training.
This is a voluntary role that involves attending quarterly meetings and providing occasional advice and support. Attendance can be virtual, but we prefer the trustee to attend at least one meeting in person each year. Travel and accommodation expenses will be provided. Our offices are 25 minutes from London Heathrow.
