RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, Devon, EX38 8PH
RHS Garden Rosemoor, Devon, is rich in horticultural heritage with plenty to see and do, including a great variety of events for all and fantastic school visits for children and young people. To support our events and education teams we’re currently recruiting for Events and School Visits Volunteers.
We hold an array of events at RHS Garden Rosemoor, from exhibitions and shows, to family workshops. As an Events Volunteer you will have the opportunity to get a great range of experiences, including (but not limited to): assisting at family workshops, stewarding weekend and evening events, helping with the set-up for exhibitions, and supporting the team with administrative tasks. For further information about what is included within this role, please see the attached role description.
Events at RHS Garden Rosemoor are held during the week and also at the weekend – so this role could be ideal for someone who is unable to commit during the week due to work or studying schedules. For further information on the required availability and time commitments, please see the role description. We do of course understand that life will sometimes get in the way but it is important that applicants think about how much time they can realistically spend with us before filling in an application.
How to apply
We are committed to being an inclusive recruiter and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. We would particularly welcome applications from people aged 18–25 years old as we are currently under represented from this age group.
We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expect all volunteers to share this commitment.
To apply, complete an online application form, even if you have volunteered with us before. Please note this link will take you through to our Volunteer Portal where, if you have not already done so, you will be prompted to create a log in before progressing to the application form. Please ensure that you describe how your skills and experience are relevant to the role(s) you are applying for (as specified in the role description) as this is how we shortlist applications.
All applications should be received by 6pm on Sunday 9 May.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a short informal interview via Zoom from mid-May onwards.
