Wales Trustee with professional experiences in Children's Services

Our client is the leading children’s charity fighting to prevent child abuse in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. They are looking for a new Trustee to join their Board.

Their Trustees play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction of the organisation, as well as holding management to account to ensure they are delivering their best for children every day. For this role, they are looking for a trustee based in Wales, with a commitment to child protection and ideally a qualified social worker with a professional background in Children’s Services.  You will be an ambassador for the Society in Wales.  Candidates who are Welsh speakers are strongly encouraged.

Trustees of the Society are charity trustees within the meaning of the Charities Act 2011.   The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health and the probity of its activities, pursuing its objectives in accordance with the Royal Charter and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Please note travel and subsistence expenses will be paid for this position.
