Deputy Coordinator working in a Supported Child Contact Centre.
To assist the Coordinator in managing the families we work with and helping to maintain a safe and child focused environment for family contact. Your contribution in all the aspects of the role would be making a positive difference in the lives of children whose parents have separated. More than a million children nationally have no contact whatsoever with one or other parent after separation. We are an accredited member of The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) which is the only charity in the UK dedicated to solving this problem, by providing safe spaces where children can meet the parents they don't live with. Westwood House is one of around 350 contact centres across the UK, run by a network of nearly 4000 volunteers.
Your role at Westwood House would include:
*Supporting the Coordinator in managing referrals from families and agencies.
*Organising the weekly family contact sessions..
*Reviewing the progress of contact with families.
*Keeping appropriate records.
*Occasional attendance at Child Contact sessions on Saturday mornings as Team Leader.
