Coram Beanstalk provides one-to-one literacy support to children across England who struggle with their reading ability and confidence.
Becoming a Coram Beanstalk reading helper is a great way to make a difference to a child’s life and enjoy a rewarding volunteering experience.
With Coram Beanstalk's volunteer programmes, you'll help three children on a one-to-one basis, twice a week, for at least 1 year (starting at any time of the year). With your support, you'll help them improve their reading ability, confidence and learn to love reading.
This simple method helps to motivate and support a child to feel more positive about their own reading, to check and deepen the child’s comprehension and to have fun with books in a way that enriches and enhances a child's learning, giving them the skills to succeed in their education
