Hub Club Activity Assistant
The Hub Club is a community based day service supporting a range of people with learning disabilities, ASD, and mental health to engage and enjoy themselves through a variety of activities. We collect club members from their homes, travel with them using public transport and support them/ escort them back home. Activities are offered in small groups and attendance numbers depend on the day of the week.
We support 22 club members in total, who attend a variety of activities between Mondays to Friday only. Some of our club members are supported on a one to one basis whereas others may receive two to one or three to one support. Some club members are wheelchair users.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and patient volunteer to help with session planning and running meaningful activities with the support of our staff for our club members.
Any activity the volunteer is able to plan and run will have a group outcome, e.g. performance or exhibition at the end of the term set up by and achieved through a coproduction effort.
