As a volunteer broadcaster at Canalside Community Radio you will be recording what we call the "What's Ons". These are the local community events from small village fetes and charity quizzes to larger concerts and festivals.
We have the largest events planner in the North-East Cheshire area so we now need a friendly and upbeat person to make short recordings talking up the events so that we can broadcast it to our listeners.
This role can be performed at the studio in Bollington, where you will receive training on how to use professional radio equipment and how the radio industry works.
If you are successful and already skilled with taking audio recordings this role can also be done from the comfort of your home using a decent quality microphone.
Our main focus at the station is keeping the community at the heart of everything we do, so if you're friendly, love the area and like a good brew and a chat then we'd love to have you on board!
