KMHCF is a small charity which acts as the collective voice to represent the views and concerns of unpaid Mental Health Carers in the Royal Borough of Kingston. We are recognised in this campaigning role by statutory services who engage us as active members of decision-making committees. We also partner with other third-sector organisations.
Included on our management team, we have those with life experience of being a Mental Health Carer and so we are able to assist the individual Carers who contact us for confidential advice and guidance.
By supporting Carers’ needs, we also contribute to the wellbeing of those they care for, aiming for the best possible mental health services.
We are keen to further develop our service and, for this, we invite volunteer Trustees with the skills to help us achieve this.
If you have expertise to offer, plus an enthusiasm to serve Carers who can often feel isolated and bewildered, we’d like to hear from you.
Our Trustees form our Management Committee which meets about every two months, midweek in the evening.
We are particularly keen to hear from those who can also offer to take hands-on responsibility on projects for moving the development of our service forward. This is likely to indicate an applicant who offers professional skills, but is now retired.
If you feel you have the drive to make a real difference for Carers, please contact us for an initial discussion.
