Young People's Group
• Engaging with young people about mental health: activities, games, conversations and more
• Attend training from time-to-time (including mandatory Safeguarding training)
Volunteers will be encouraged to chat with the group facilitator to discuss how things are going, any training they would like, suggest ideas for the group and anything else they would like to talk about.
There will also be an option (after a few weeks) to help staff plan group activities.
Volunteers will benefit from joining a friendly, supportive team of people – volunteers and staff – who will listen to your ideas, and help you apply them whenever possible, up-to-date experience in youth work, and helping a charity deliver its objectives.
We would be delighted to offer a reference after four months of regular volunteering. You will be given a full introduction to the organisation, including meeting staff and other volunteers and will be given regular, encouraging feedback on how we feel things are going with your role.
You will be making an important contribution to lone parent families in South Cheshire. This role is subject to an enhanced DBS – often known as a police check. Volunteers will also need to be mindful of confidentiality issues.
Two references will be required.
