History Museum Front of House Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to spare a couple of hours a week for front of house and reception duties for Congleton Museum.
We are fast becoming an important place for significant archealogical/historical finds, so if you are interested in history, this could be a fantastic opportunity!
This role will require you to meet and greet our visitors and provide them with some information about the museum and our artefacts.
Your responsibilities will include, liaising with visitors, managing shop sales, accepting museum artefacts and donations, answering and transferring phone calls and inquiries and more.
This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their experience and contacts, someone interested in local and regional history, someone who wishes to donate their time to a good cause or simply to meet new people.
Volunteers in this role usually volunteer for two hours. In house training will be provided for this volunteer role and information on all artefacts is provided.
Disabled access is available.
Two references will be required.
There will be a trial period of 6 weeks.
This opportunity is open to ex offenders and ex drug users and those in rehabilitation.
Hours: 1 - 2 hours any day Tuesday to Saturday.
