What's involved?

We are looking for a volunteer who can support with the running of the Singing for the Brain Group in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Confidence to assist the singing leader with activities would also be beneficial but not essential. Other duties include setting up the room, welcoming people with dementia and their carers and providing refreshments.

The Stonehouse, Gloucestershire Singing for the Brain group runs twice a month on the first and third Tuesday of the month between 1pm and 4pm.

Key Responsibilities

Getting involved with the singing (don't worry, no singing talent required!)

Helping to set up the room  Providing refreshments for people attending

Enabling people to get involved in the singing activities

This role will suit you if you are...

Knowledgeable or willing to learn about dementia with a commitment to inclusion and an interest in meeting new people.

Have an interest in or knowledge of music and movement.

You should also be comfortable working in a team to deliver high service standards and willing to follow guidance and procedures.

Comfortable singing in a group.  Don't worry no singing talent is required.
