Media Liaison

Summary: Maintain relationships with both international media and in-country media. Host and facilitate Vision Trips. Must be able to serve entire field service.

About the role: Our Media Liaisons have the unique role of working with and hosting international and in-country media outlets and requests. Always on the go, these crew serve as the behind-the-scenes face of Mercy Ships.

The Media Liaison volunteer position, part of the Communications department, will be located on the Africa Mercy, the world's largest charity hospital ship. We are happy to consider a commitment of 1 year, but we also invite you to consider a longer engagement with Mercy Ships!

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)  
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, responsive, and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of and ability to speak conversational French preferred
  • International Driver's Permit required
