DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting young person (15 years of age) on the Autism Spectrum (Aspergers Syndrome/ Mild Autism) on a session to session basis on the activities in the session in a One-to-One capacity.

Encouraging the Youth Club member to take part in the activities and celebrating their achievements.  Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the safeguarding officers who will be onsite.

Ensuring the enjoyment and assisting in the safety of the Youth Club members with the Youth Club Leader, as per in house training which will be provided.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to our policies and procedures, all of which will be explained in training and given to you in your volunteer welcome pack. Providing refreshments from our refreshments cupboard, tea, coffee, juice and biscuits. Helping with clear up at the end of session

Person specification

Autism Inclusive are looking for an enthusiastic, capable volunteers, who will be a welcome member of the team, and who will help to support the organisation by being part of our Youth Club on a Friday evening. The session is a Youth Club that teaches life skills in a workshop based manner with individuals with Aspergers/ Autism (usually high functioning). The support volunteers will be on hand to provide practical support to people who attend as well as supervise activities.
