Accelerating Localisation Partnerships Volunteer
The Accelerating Localisation through Partnerships programme is being implemented in Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria and South Sudan and led by the Humanitarian Division. The programme aims to change the way international NGOs work in partnership with national and local NGOs to strengthen local leadership of humanitarian response.
About the role
This is a great opportunity to play a role at the heart of the project for 1-2 days a week. The Volunteer will be providing valuable assistance to the Programme Manager and the wider team. The Volunteer will be involved in many different parts of the project and his/her role will be centred primarily but not exclusively on research, communication and administrative tasks.
This role would be well suited to someone looking to gain valuable experience in the humanitarian sector, for example a recent graduate or Masters students studying a relevant subject, or someone with a passion and some spare time!
We are looking for someone familiar with Microsoft Office and basic data analysis skills. An interest in the localisation agenda would also be appreciated – search online for ‘the Grand Bargain’ to find out more!
You will receive reimbursement for lunch and reasonable travel expenses up to a maximum of £20 per day.
