About Crisis  Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We are committed to ending homelessness.  

Every day we see the devastating impact homelessness has on people's lives. Every year we work side by side thousands of homeless people to help them rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind for good. 

Through our pioneering research into the causes and consequences of homelessness and the solutions to it, we know what it will take to end it. 

Together with others who share our resolve, we bring our knowledge, experience and determination to campaign for the changes that will solve the homelessness crisis once and for all. 

We bring together a unique volunteer effort each Christmas, to bring warmth, companionship and vital services to people at one of the hardest times of the year, and offer a starting point out of homelessness. 

We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it. 

You will contribute to ending homelessness by  The Marketing and Communications team houses the Digital, News and media, Internal communications, and Marketing ​and brand functions of Crisi​​​s. ​​​We look after story gathering, photography and film, publications, email marketing It is also responsible for the Crisis Brand, website, social media, publicity/media work and high profile supporter relationships.  

This role will be vital in helping the team to manage protected data on high profile supporters and in assisting the manager with the day to day tasks.

Core tasks  

  • To assist in the daily tasks re-artist management  To enter data about high profile supporters into the Raisers Edge database (training will be provided)  To research new high profile supporters and influencers  To meet regularly with your supervisor to discuss the data and research progress 

Who we are looking for 

  • Computer literate  A good eye for detail   Ability to take initiative with data but consult if there is any doubt  Interpersonal communication skills with a particular focus on listening   Good time-keeping and reliability  Non-judgemental, patient and friendly  An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining boundaries  Be positive, productive and have a passion to help end homelessness 

 Additional information  We expect volunteers to comply with Crisis policies including health and safety, data protection and code of conduct at all times: 

  • Travel expenses are reimbursed (with receipts) off-peak zones 1-6, and a lunch voucher for the Crisis Café  We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and from people with disabilities
