Receptionist volunteering is a very important role at Ruby’s Fund. It’s the first point of contact with the public as they visit or contact the centre.

• Welcome visitors to Ruby’s Fund in a friendly manner

• Answer the phone in a welcoming manner, refer to the appropriate person or take a message

• Provide information about the services and facilities

• Use a till and handle cash

• Keep the reception area clean and tidy

Skills required:

• Good interpersonal skills, you will be friendly, professional and have an approachable manner 

• Good written and verbal skills 

• Self-motivated 

• Previous experience of working or volunteering in the not-for-profit sector (voluntary or statutory), is desirable but not essential
