The Norfolk Mentoring project empowers people with substance misuse issues to achieve personal goals and move forward in their lives as they progress through their recovery journey.  Mentors offer varied and individually tailored support to individuals across a range of possible areas:

  • Reducing isolation through building positive social networks, including supporting with accessing new hobbies and interests
  • Develop / maintain independent living skills, including gaining basic skills such as budgeting and shopping
  • Develop existing practical and academic skills; engaging with mainstream education and training and sustaining engagement to achieve successful training and employment
  • Encourage positive contribution to the local community
