Job Summary
This group is for people with dementia and their carers to meet and enjoy a range of social activities. This can include working with visiting artists, gentle sporting activities such as bowling, reminiscence activities and much more. It is an opportunity for people attending the group to share experiences with others in a safe and friendly environment.
What will I be doing?
Volunteers are needed to help with the running of the group. This includes setting up the venue, meeting and greeting those attending, helping to facilitate activities and ensuring that the people attending are able to engage with the group. Volunteers are also needed to assist with serving refreshments. Good communication skills are important as well as an ability to show empathy and support.
Practical Considerations
The group is held in Crownhill and runs fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon.
