Cheerers needed for the Great North Run 2018 – Anthony Nolan
We are looking for happy and enthusiastic supporters to help us cheer on our fantastic Team Anthony Nolan runners at this year’s Great North Run.
With over 360 lifesaving runners taking part in this world famous half marathon, our runners need all the support and motivation they can get to reach the finish line. We have a reputation for being some of the loudest and proudest cheerers on the course, so the louder you are the better!
This year 2,000 people in the UK with blood cancer will need a lifesaving transplant. Anthony Nolan works to save the lives of people with blood cancer by matching potential donors to those desperately in need of a bone marrow (or stem cell) transplant.
We will be supporting our incredible runners at two cheering points along the half marathon course on Sunday 9thth September 2018. You can be based at either mile 4 (near Heworth Roundabout) or mile 8 (close to Bede Metro station).
With your support we can give the people who are fundraising for us a fantastic race day experience. You will receive your own Anthony Nolan t-shirt to wear on the day and other fun cheering goodies, like cheer sticks!
We would need you to be available between 10.30am and 2.30pm, for as long as you’re able to stay and cheer with us.
Be part of the exciting atmosphere and help us spur on those running to save more lives.
Join our epic cheer team by filling out this form.
