WaterAid has a wide variety of exciting volunteering opportunities which are detailed below. From marshalling, cheering or collecting donations at our events, to sharing your knowledge and passion for the cause via the speaker network, there are many ways that you can be a WaterAid volunteer.  

Join our Local Groups movement

Support WaterAid by giving us the generous gift of your time! Use your passion for our work to volunteer in your local community and inspire others to get involved and transform lives.

Join our Speaker Network

If you’re passionate about spreading WaterAid's message to help us reach everyone, everywhere by 2030, join our amazing network of ambassadors. If you feel comfortable speaking in public to a wide variety of audiences, the Speaker Network could be the right opportunity for you.                                  

Volunteer at a WaterAid event

WaterAid is involved in a wide variety of exciting fundraising events where we would love you to get involved. We need your help to support our participants and create a huge WaterAid presence. From marshalling and cheering to collecting donations or putting up signs and banners, we can always use an extra pair of hands to ensure our events go smoothly! Our events include: o Running events, including the London Marathon, Brighton Half Marathon and other regional events o Cycling events, including the 100 mile RideLondon/Surrey event in July o Singing events and bucket collections

University society or RAG volunteering

If you are part of your university RAG society, there are so many ways to get involved. Whether it’s organizing a RAG raid, campaigning, or picking us as your charity of the year. Alternatively you could look at joining or setting up a WaterAid society on campus. This is both fun and rewarding, and is a great way to meet new people, enhance your CV and transform the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
