Are you interested in building self-confidence in people with sight loss and learning difficulties by giving them the chance to develop independent living skills and gain new experiences?

RNIB Visual Impairment and Learning Disabilities (VILD) Service supports people with sight problems and learning disabilities and those who work with them.

This role requires membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme (Adults).

What will I be doing?
Helping someone affected by sight loss and learning difficulties develop independent living skills. 
Providing sighted guiding and support to individuals moving from one area of the building to another.
Undertaking general tasks and helping with group activities.
Contributing to ongoing areas of skilled based assessment work as directed by the Resource Workers.
Working as part of a team in promoting clients skills and abilities within the building and in the local community

When will I be needed?
Monday to Friday 10am-3pm (10am -12.30pm or 1.00pm-3.00pm).  One session per week preferable (negotiable)
