Volunteer teachers in Merseyside
We would like to expand our team of volunteers across the region and are particularly looking for volunteer teachers in the Merseyside.
If you would like to inspire children and young people and would be able to commit to making three school visits a term, this could be the role for you.
About the role:
You would be working as part of a regional team, as an ambassador for our development work.
You'll be working with a regional coordinator and a team of enthusiastic and committed volunteers.
Your role as a teacher would include establishing links with local schools, sharing stories about the work of our partner organisations in primary and secondary schools and sixth form centres.
You may lead assemblies and lessons or run workshops as part of themed days.
You will need to have experience of working with children in a classroom environment, confidence within a school setting and be committed to the work of Christian Aid.
What we offer:
You will be supported by a member of staff and provided with an extensive selection of resources and training material.
Out of pocket expenses are paid.
