Online moderator volunteer
In this role you could help to moderate SANE's thriving online community space including our peer support forum, blogs and stories, helping people affected by mental health problems to share their experiences, together with the creative work they inspire, such as poems, paintings and photos.
The role involves checking content is appropriate and offering support offline to anyone who needs it, referring them to ongoing care where appropriate.
It may also involve drafting brief, supportive responses to messages we receive via social media, including Twitter and Facebook.
You would work one four-hour shift a week.
This is a great role for someone with an interest in the internet and digital channels.
We look for people with empathy, warmth, understanding and compassion. If you already have these qualities our training will help you develop the necessary knowledge and skills.
You need to be able to speak and write English fluently, with basic IT skills to be able to use our systems.
