Volunteer Fundraising Team Member - Sunderland Guild
The RNLI has a large network of local volunteer fundraising branches organising a wide range of activities and events across the UK and Ireland, which raise vital funds to save lives at sea. These fundraising activities are various and organised by the branch members themselves. Some of our volunteer branch members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
Offering assistance to the local branches to develop these fundraising opportunities in local communities is vital to ensuring that the branches are supported in their efforts and the events can grow and succeed. Whilst some branches are excellent at co-ordinating their events, others need more support and guidance.
With this in mind, the RNLI is looking for a motivated individual who would like to join the RNLI as a Volunteer Community Fundraising Assistant. This is a brand new volunteering role. The Volunteer Community Fundraising Assistant will assist the Community Fundraising Manager with developing engagement and fundraising opportunities within the local communities. This will include identifying, coordinating and delivering community fundraising events whilst all of the time maintaining sustainable relationships with our supporters in local communities.
This is a fantastic volunteer opportunity for someone who is interested in a career in fundraising, volunteer management or events management. You do not need to have skills in any of these areas in order to apply for this role however, this may be an ideal opportunity to break into this industry and learn new skills to add to your CV. Good communication and team working skills together with the ability to inspire others would be helpful to the successful candidate. You will receive all of the training required to enable you to carry out the role upon commencement.
