Afghan Association Paiwand is community organisation providing services for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in London. Originally founded to serve the needs of the Afghan community, Paiwand is now proudly multicultural in its service delivery, staffing and values. We support more than 1,000 people a week across Barnet, Brent, Harrow and Ealing. Paiwand provides services for people in need throughout their journey of settling and then flourishing in the UK. Legal advocacy, housing and mental health services address the immediate welfare needs of refugees and migrants when they first arrive in the country. Education, mentoring and employability services help families achieve their aspirations for a better life in the UK.

Paiwand’s Education Project works in partnership with voluntary organisations, local authorities and mainstream schools in order to test a new model of high quality, sustainable supplementary school provision that raises the attainment of targeted disadvantaged children in critical National Curriculum subjects, such as Maths and English.
