In England, only 1 in 3 young people from the lowest income homes are able to get 5 A*-C grades at GCSE.

The GT Scholars programme is a not-for-profit social enterprise that tackles educational inequality by giving young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, the support, skills and strategies they need to achieve their academic and career ambitions.

We’re looking for undergraduates, graduates and professionals to support with the growth and development of GT Scholars, by joining us as an ambassador.

As an ambassador with GT Scholars, your role will involve:

  • Speaking at external events to help reach more volunteers or schools

Conducting short interviews and selecting new volunteers tutors and mentors to join the programme

Hosting our online induction days for our new volunteers

Speaking at our events for parents and young people

Facilitating our workshops, courses and enrichment days for young people

Working collaboratively with other ambassadors and speakers at our events

Becoming an ambassador with GT Scholars is extremely rewarding and you’ll benefit from:

  • A flexible schedule - with most ambassador sessions taking place in the evenings or weekends

The chance to grow your contacts and meet like-minded people

You’ll need to be available for approximately 4-10 hours per month

We’ll also provide full training and support for your role including any material for running any presentations

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in and you have a genuine passion for social mobility and educational equality, then get in touch with us by calling 0208 8168066 or filling in the online contact form www.gtscholars.org/contact-us
