Can you speak fluent Urdu / Punjabi? Are you friendly, helpful & outgoing? We are looking for people with a passion to spend time with blind and partially sighted people both outside and in their homes on a regular basis. You will help with small tasks such as reading correspondence, going for short walks or simply a coffee and a chat, to help them feel less isolated and retain independence.

A PVG Scotland Adults Criminal Record Check is required.

When will you be needed?
2 hours per week, flexible.

What Will You Be Doing?
Visit people in their home; Having a chat and providing company; Read mail, magazines, etc.; Assisting with personal correspondence; Acting as a sighted guide
What Will You Be Doing - Further Info
Visiting weekly or fortnightly, you will help with small tasks such as reading correspondence and also spend time with them either chatting in their homes or taking them out for short walks or for a coffee. This will reduce their feelings of isolation.
