Volunteer Fundraising Crew Leader - Manchester and Greater Manchester
You don’t have to live by the sea or even get wet to help the RNLI save lives.
It is crucial that we have the right person at the helm, to lead our Fundraising Crew in Manchester!
Are you a motivated person who enjoys spending time with others in order to make things happen? Can you inspire a diverse team to use their skills and energy to develop new fundraising activity?
You may already be a successful leader in your professional life or this may be an area of expertise that you wish to develop further. This could be an opportunity to improve your skills and enhance your CV or a way to meet new people, have some fun and be part of something special that really makes a difference to your community.
Whatever your reasons for wanting to join the RNLI, we would love to hear from you.
This role includes getting along with the team, using each member’s skills and strengths and identifying whose best to do what, including some or all of the following or perhaps, something else?
• Researching opportunities
• Planning fundraising events
• Fundraising activity for our national campaigns, Mayday & Fish Supper.
• Promoting fundraising activity e.g. social media and posters locally.
• Networking in the community
• Corporate networking
Our Fundraising Crews are flexible and designed around those who join them. You will be supported by an RNLI Community Development Manager and Community Support Team.
Every year around 160 people drown around our UK coasts. You could help us to achieve our lifesaving goal to reduce drowning and coastal fatalities by 50% by 2024.
By joining us, you will help to raise the profile of the RNLI inland and the work that we do saving lives at sea, as well as the work of the Flood Team, International Programmes, Lifeguards, Education Team and Drowning Prevention campaigns including Swim Safe and Respect the Water.
The RNLI is a charity- 95% of our total income comes from donations. We are separate from the Coastguard and independent from the Government, so we couldn’t do what we do without the generosity and support of people like you. Together we can save even more lives at sea.
