New Outlook is a well-respected West Midlands based Housing Association specialising in supporting and caring for people with visual impairment and complex needs. We have a team of 140 dedicated, empowered and motivated staff and a £3m+ turnover.
We aim to support people to live independent lives in our adapted accommodation and in the community. Our care, training and company philosophy are person-centred and we aim to give all our service users choice and control over their care and support.
Our Trustee Board plays a vital role in New Outlook, steering and supporting our development. We are now seeking to appoint a Vice Chair, which is new role for us, and two Board Members/ Trustees to our board.
We are seeking committed people with a range of experience ideally in areas such as Finance, Marketing and PR, and Commissioning. Contributing actively, our Trustees support us by giving strategic direction; ensuring we meet regulatory requirements; and overseeing the work of the staff team, thus ensuring New Outlook’s effective, efficient administration and financial stability.
The role of Trustee is non-executive, providing a rewarding opportunity to use your expertise and experience to support and shape our future.
We wish to have a wide range of people on the Board, and seek to be representative of the diverse population in the West Midlands. There is no need to have trustee experience to apply; however, we are looking for a commitment to our values.
We are proud of the work we do. We are in the top quartile in Birmingham’s quality ratings and our CQC assessments are all rated good. So if you feel you have the commitment and experience to contribute to our good governance, we would really like to hear from you.
These are voluntary roles, however, for Board members we pay expenses plus £50 per meeting and for the Vice Chair we pay £1000 p.a. plus expenses.
