RNIB Employability Assistant - Glasgow
Are you friendly with good communication skills? Passionate about supporting blind and partially sighted people to find work? Our Pre-Employment Programme offers experience drafting CV's, completing application forms and visiting potential employment sites. We need volunteers to provide general assistance, note taking and advice to help our customers increase their employment skills.
A PVG Scotland Adults Criminal Record Check is required.
When will you be needed?
2 hours per week, Mon am; Tues am; Wed am; Thurs am; Fri am.

What Will You Be Doing?
Meeting and greeting visitors; Respond to questions and concerns; Using IT equipment and systems; Making appropriate contributions; Support people with IT development
Supporting people to identify and apply for employment opportunities or take steps to move closer to work. Support people to identify their skills that will interest an employer
You would visit employment sites and offer sighted guiding

Ability to ask questions sensitively; Good Communication Skills; Approachable & empathetic nature; Computer Literate; Confident and Patient; Good written communication skills
