Fundraising & Marketing Assistant
Destiny Children organises several fundraising events each year ranging from a Black Tie Dinner Dance at a local hotel to Quiz Nights and Coffee Mornings in village or school halls. Such events are required as part of the Charity's strategy to help raise its profile and attract more sponsors and donors.
The Fundraising & Marketing Assistant will primarily be responsible for helping to deliver such fund-raising events, and raising the charity’s profile locally, by working alongside the Co-ordinator to ensure:
• Events are publicised via different media sources ie flyers, adverts & mailshots
• Venues are confirmed, booked and deposits paid where appropriate
• Equipment hire is agreed and planned accordingly, ie audio visual and catering
• Other activities are considered to ensure events run effortlessly
This is a fully flexible role which may be carried out from home with hours to suit. The Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will be required to attend and contribute to monthly committee meetings which usually take place in the evenings.
