RNIB Studio Reader - Ivybridge
You will lend your voice and enthusiasm to help blind and partially sighted people access everything from newsletters to a favourite cookery book by digitally recording audio versions at your local RNIB transcription centre.
What Will You Be Doing?
Create audio recordings from text; Reading a range of materials aloud; Describing non-textual materials
Creating audio recordings from text using a digital recording package; Reading a range of materials aloud clearly, accurately and in an appropriate manner; Describing non-textual materials e.g graphs, photographs or illustrations clearly and succinctly
When will you be needed?
Two hours per week flexible :
Mon am; Mon pm; Mon eve; Tues am; Tues pm; Wed am; Wed pm; Thurs am; Thurs pm; Fri am; Fri pm
RNIB Transcription Centre, Ivybridge PL21 0DW.
What Skills/Experience Are Needed?
Able to work unsupervised; Accurately/fluently read materials; Clear voice and good listener; Computer Literate; Good level of literacy; Willing to attend relevant training; Reliable; Excellent attention to detail
