Each year, an average of 150 children are diagnosed with cancer in Yorkshire. Candlelighters provides practical, emotional and financial support to children and families affected by childhood cancer throughout Yorkshire.

Based in our office at the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), you will provide vital administrative support to the Fundraising Assistant. Activities will include:

• Monitoring and allocating collecting cans and merchandise for supporters
• Receiving donations and processing them in line with charity procedures
• Utilising and updating electronic records and databases
• Contacting supporters via telephone and e-mail 
• Creating letters and franking post
• Filing (paper and electronic) 
• Providing administrative support for events
• Answering the phone and transferring calls 
• Signposting families and other visitors or callers to the office
• Informing families of services and activities at the Square and on the Bus
