Action for Blind People Community Eye Health Volunteer - Leeds
Interested in health and well being issues in the community? You could help us to prevent sight loss in people with diabetes by highlighting the importance of regular eye checks to health professionals, members of community and religious groups, encouraging them to spread the word to people at risk. You would be responsible for developing community links and keeping abreast of local issues.
What Will You Be Doing?
Finding opportunities and events to deliver awareness raising sessions
Supporting in the delivery of awareness raising education sessions within the local community
Maintaining relationships with a variety of health professionals
When will you be needed?
3 hours per event.
Leeds: in communities across the Leeds area.

Good Communication Skills; Confident and Patient; Friendliness, enthusiasm and reliability; Good IT skills; Work with wide range of people
